Garden Map
Balamb Garden contains three floors and a basement. The 1F and 2F are accessible to the Garden population, while the basement and 3F require special permission. The general layout of Garden consists of a central elevator bank that is surrounded by a fountain, and walkways that lead to the various sections of Garden. Here are some cool fan-made build outs of the interior of Garden: 1F at a glance. Training Center, Library, Main Lobby & Parking Lot.

1F:

Front Gate: This is the main entrance to Garden. Once inside the outer gate, there’s a large courtyard area that’s landscaped and consists of a wide walking path and stairs leading down to the security checkpoint, manned by security staff who check the IDs of anyone entering Garden.

Main Lobby
This is where the Garden directory is located, detailing the layout of the building. The lobby also leads up to the elevator bank. People use this as an unofficial gathering point.

Library
Open from 0900 until 2200, the library holds and extensive and impression collection of books. There’s a study area in the back of the library. Strict rules (no food or drinks, minimal talking) are enforced by the Librarian and the volunteers who work at the front desk. Overdue books are subjected to fines.

Training Center
With a jungle-like environment, the Training Center is the only place where weapons and magic can be used. The staff keeps the Training Center teeming with monsters (primarily Grats and T-Rexaurs) to help the students train. In the back of the Training Center, hidden behind some foliage, is the entrance to the ‘Secret Area’— it’s a popular spot for students to escape to after curfew. The Training Center is the only part of Garden where curfew is not enforced. It can be assumed that an Olympic-sized pool and a full gym (cardio, weight training equipment, resistance training, etc.) exist in another section of the Training Center.

Parking Lot
The Parking Lot houses a wide selection of vehicles, ranging from motorcycles, cars, to personal carrier vehicles. Only students who have been issued a Garden-validated drivers license have permission to check out a car for use.

Dormitories
There are two different types of dormitories— Cadet dorms and SeeD dorms. Cadet dorms are shared between roommates, with two single bedrooms connected to a shared living space. Communal bathrooms are positioned so that 2 dorms are to share a bathroom. SeeDs, on the other hand, have individual rooms with private bathrooms. Dorms are separated into two separate wings based on gender. Each cadet dorm is equipped with 2 PCs, SeeD dorms equipped with 1 PC. Keep things clean.

Cafeteria
The cafeteria is open from 0600 to 2200. Students can order late-night meals before the cafeteria closes and pick them up prior to curfew. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served by the cafeteria staff; the most popular dish by far are the hot dogs, which are quick to sell out every day.

Quad
The Quad is an open-air garden and gathering space for students. Many community activities are held in the space, and the Garden Festival takes place in the quad. It’s a popular hangout spot.

Infirmary
This is where Garden’s resident doctor (Dr. Kadowaki) practices, and where sick or injured students visit to be treated.

2F

Classrooms
2F is mainly comprised of various classrooms and lecture halls. Classrooms are equipped with personal computers that students can use to take notes and access the BBS message board system.

Balcony and emergency exit
A large balcony off to the side of the structure can be accessed-- this also functions as an emergency exit should Garden even come under attack.

Ballroom
A grand, two-story ballroom used only for special occasions such as the SeeD graduation ceremony.

Balamb Garden is also able to function as a mobile airship. With this function, the entire school can travel to areas around the world.
